Jesus, I Hear You Say...

Jesus,
When I am alone and fallen on my way
With tears I fight my day,
I hear you say,
“Don’t cry, young man! Get up, I tell you!”

When I am sick and feeling weak
Fighting diseases, doctors can’t heal
I hear you say,
“Son, you are free from your illness!”

When I am paralyzed in my journey
That would end only in seeing your face
I hear you say,
“Courage, my son! Do walk again!”

When I meet with wicked commands
Even though I walk in your path
I hear you say,
“Deaf and dumb spirit, I order you,
Come out of the boy, and return never again!”

When my eyes filled with darkness
And my mind too is shut
“Jesus my saviour have pity on me”, I cry;
Then I hear you say,
“What do you want me to do for you?
Your faith has given you the sight!”

When I am out and away from your way
Roaming wherever on my way
I hear you say,
“I do still want, come on my way!”

When I’m given to worldly pleasures
Spend all in vain and leisure
I hear you say,
“Get up, pick up nothing, and follow me!”

When my spirit drooping weary
But my faith linger near still
I hear you say,
“What you believe will be done for you!”

When I see your hands out stretched
Nailed to a cross for sins I have ever done
I hear you say,
“Stretch out your hands and serve me!”
